MISSIONARY CHURCH-PARISH SCHOOLS of UDMURTIA: HISTORY OFESTABLISHMENT AND TENDENCY OF DEVELOPMENT

The article presents a historical and pedagogical overview of the formation of
primary spiritual education in the system of parish Sunday schools in the territory of the
Udmurt Republic for newly baptized Udmurts, their emergence and development. an
analysis of the development trend of the missionary and educational activities of Orthodox
parishes among the local population in the Republic is made on the basis of materials from
the Central State Archives of the Udmurt Republic, which are published for the first time.
